Kadikoy
Kadikoy, situated on the Asian side of Istanbul, is among the earliest neighborhoods in the area. According to some accounts, the city’s first mosque was constructed in Kadikoy, but there is little evidence to support this claim today. The neighborhood boasts several ancient towns and monasteries, showcasing the region’s rich history and adding to the charm of the area.
Geographical location of Kadikoy
Kadikoy area is situated in the southeastern region of Istanbul and is surrounded by the Sea of Marmara to the west and south, Uskudar to the north, Atashhir to the northeast, and Mal Tepe to the east. The population of Kadikoy is approximately 480,000 people and it covers an area of about 41,000 square meters. Some of the well-known neighborhoods in Kadikoy include Fenerbaghche, Bostanji, Muda, and Suadiye.

Kadikoy tourist attractions
Kadikoy is considered the central hub of the Asian side of Istanbul and is the largest neighborhood in the region. One of the most prominent and renowned streets in Istanbul, Baghdad Road, runs through Kadikoy and extends all the way to Maltepe. The street is comparable to Esteghlal Street and is famous for housing luxurious brands, shopping centers, and charming restaurants, making it an ideal place for strolling.
